Paris Saint-Germain secured their second consecutive victory in the French Ligue 1 this weekend with a 5-0 thrashing of Al Ittihad at Stade de France on Sunday afternoon.
The hosts dominated possession and had several chances to score but were unable to capitalize until the 22nd minute when Kante found the net from close range after a clever combination between Neymar and Mbappe.
Neymar added another goal just before halftime, converting a penalty awarded for a handball by Al Ittihad's goalkeeper.
In the second half, Mbappe scored twice, first from a free-kick and then from a corner kick that deflected off the post and into the back of the net.
Al Ittihad tried to mount a comeback in the final stages, but PSG's defense held firm and sealed their victory.
The win moves PSG up to third place in the table, three points behind leaders Monaco, while Al Ittihad remain in ninth position.
Overall, it was another impressive performance from PSG, who have now won five out of six matches this season. The team continues to impress under manager Mauricio Pochettino, who has been praised for his tactical changes and leadership during the campaign so far.
